Employee Relations advises supervisors and employees on the interpretation of division policies and procedures related to disciplinary action, grievance, equal employment opportunity, employee assistance, and the performance management system. This area also assists division sections in interpreting guidelines for:
- release of employee information
- political activities
- reinstatement from dismissal procedures
- investigations of employee complaints (i.e., harassment)
- disciplinary action
- petitions for contested case hearings
- discrimination charges
- state and federal lawsuits
- unemployment insurance program
- equal employment opportunity staffing goals
- performance pay disputes
- work plan development and performance reviews
- employee assistance program
